As a lifelong resident of the DMV (D.C., Maryland, [Northern] Virginia), the Redskins team has been a part of my life, whether I realized it or not. However, it seems that whenever the team does well that they start to come under fire for the very thing that defines them: their name. Read more

The Conscious Corner: Motorcycle

poetry

Written by: James Barrett

I want to take your body on a ride girl and change lanes with your attitudes!
Switch gears through the years holding strong to your curves I hope the smoke never clears and tires continue to burn…
Embrace you I’m your kickstand, take control of your handle bars!
Taking you right not wrong and I’ll never let you fall!
Keep your chain lubed up & check your fluids with my dipstick!
Your lipstick!
Reminds me of candy paint with a pearl so I growl like an exhaust pipe with my throttle wide open…
Hoping me and you can see the world with…
No Red signs all Green signs say GO, but don’t go to fast l, take my hands and turn your blinkers on as I merge into your center lane…
Down stroking where we going because I’m coming got your head spinning cycles! …
So I hope you enjoyed your ride, on my MOTORCYCLE!
